Jack Reacher, do you know? As I had read his “Gone Tomorrow” occasionally ,I was really expressed by the hero, gallant and enigmatic loner Jack Reacher. I just waited our hero to bring us more excitement and thrills . And this time I have read “61 hours”, our hero has made me new heart stopping as well as new starring again.
The writer , Lee Child is the author of 13 Jack Reacher thrillers, including the New York Times bestsellers Persuader, the Barry Award Winner The Enemy, and One Shot, which has been optioned for a major motion picture by Paramount Pictures. His debut, Killing Floor, won both the Anthony and the Barry Awards for Best First Mystery. Foreign rights in the Jack Reacher series have sold in more than 40 territories. Child, a native of England and former television writer, lives in New York City and France, where he is at work on his next thriller. In early April, this book was at the top of hardcover novel list in England which achieved better sales than the last book “Gone Tomorrow” .
Rechard is back in his Small town, in U.S.A.which is usually used to render our hero as a feature of the roving ex-military cop. Once a time, the bus that he hitched a ride crashes, After a short violent cash , Rechard finds himself in Bolton, S.Dak., a tiny burg with big problems. Then the story begins. A vicious Mexican drug cartel runs a highly sophisticated methamphetamine lab .
The local cops do not know how to do with the lab .They get help from Reacher, at that time ,our hero shows us the ability of weapons, courage ,and smart. Weather in S.Dak. is extremely cold , maybe every page of the book will make you shiver, let alone saying Rechard . He not only wants to help the injuries from the crash but also has to tap military for the deputy chief of police as well as to keep the witness safe.
We do have to admire Rechard , a big boy with bigger wise ,a strong boy with stronger mind. This time we have 61 hours to witness Rechard to be a hero in extremely cold S. Dak. (Read More…)
